VISION STATEMENT
Who We Are Becoming as A Ministry
Our vision is to be a ministry that will…
SEE people the way Jesus sees them.
TOUCH people the way Jesus touches them.
LOVE people the way Jesus loves them.
HEAR people the way Jesus hears them.
SPEAK about people the way Jesus speaks about them.
THINK about people the way Jesus thinks about them.
VALUES STATEMENT
We value people.
We believe all people are equally important to God. We believe the church should create a climate of acceptance for all people and to do whatever is necessary to bring the lost to faith in Christ and the unchurched to membership in His church.
There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Gal 3:28 (NIV)
In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents. Lk. 15:10 (NIV)
…I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save them. I Cor. 9:22 (NIV)
We value relationships.
We believe that believers should work to build meaningful relationships with each other and resolve conflict in those relationships with love and diligence.
A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. Jn. 13:34-35 (NIV)
Make the most of your chances to tell others the Good News. Be wise in all your contacts with them. Col. 4:5 (TLB)
We value application of Scripture.
We believe that Scripture is applicable to all people, in all cultures, at all times and is essential for life transformation for all believers.
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. 2 Tim. 3:16 (NIV)
Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Jam. 1:22 (NIV)
We value commitment.
We believe that complete devotion to Christ and His mission should be the norm for every believer.
Then he said to them all: “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.” Lk. 9:23 (NIV)
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. Mk. 12:30 (NIV)
We value authenticity.
We believe that believers should live out their faith wherever they go.
…Our conscience testifies that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially in our relations with you, in the holiness and sincerity that are from God… 2 Cor. 1:12 (NIV)
We value service.
We believe that every believer should discover his/her gifts and abilities and use them in a meaningful place of service in the church.
Now about spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be ignorant. 1 Cor. 12:1 (NIV)
Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. 1 Pet. 4:10 (NIV)
We value growth.
We believe that a healthy church should grow both spiritually and numerically. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. From the whole body, joined and held together by every.
supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. Eph. 4:15-16 (NIV)
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of he Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matt. 18:19-20 (NIV)
We value cultural relevance and innovation.
We believe that the church should communicate the truth of Scripture in culturally relevant terms and use forms of worship and ministry, which address the needs of people in contemporary society.
He told them this parable: “No one tears a patch from a new garment and sews it on an old one. If he does, he will have torn the new garment, and the patch from the new will not match the old. And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the new wine will burst the skins, the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, new wine must be poured into new wineskins. Lk.5:36-38 (NIV)
We value excellence.
We believe that excellence honors God and inspires people.
…fire will test the quality of each man’s work. 1 Cor. 3:13 (NIV)
whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might… Eccl. 9:10 (NIV)
